| Gateway Ethernet / AS-Interface Master

The Ethernet Gateway links the Internet/Ethernet world with that of the raw industrial environment of established Fieldbus technology.
It consists of an AS-Interface Master that exchanges data between the connected I/O devices and the internal process data memory. Via TCP/IP, this data can be accessed for writing and reading telegrams.
At present there is no Standard for the depiction of the process data at the application say TCP/IP level. In order to react flexibly to this, the Microsoft Windows® CE operating system is used on the PKV 40. In this system, further tasks can simply be attached for extension of functions.
