| Hedin Tex M-2/R-2 asynchronous current loop converter
guarantees an error free data transmission
up to a distance of 6 kilometres. It is a secure extension
of your own dataline.
M-2 is the table top version with its own power
supply. The M-2 provides a full duplex signal conversion
between the 20mA current loop and the RS232/
V.24 with speeds up to 19,200 bps. With this technique
it is possible to connect up to six M-2/R-2 into
a single current loop. The interface is unsensitive to
interference.
R-2 is the corresponding current loop converter in
form of plug-in card for the 19" rack RV-1 with
european standard size. Where several converters
are needed, R-2 is used to save space and to obtain
a general overview. It is fully compatible to the M-2
modem.
Interface 1 is designed according to the EIA RS232-C
and CCITT V.24/V.28 standards. The signal status is
shown by four LEDís (POWER, RD, TD and DCD) on
the front panel.
The M-2 and R-2 converters are codetransparent,
i.e. they are completely independent of data structure
and transmission protocols. M-2/R-2 offer high
protection from lightning and excess voltage. Not
only is the converter protected but also the connected
expensive computer equipment. M-2 and R-2
fulfil the highest expectations of operational reliability,
function and performance. Because of the
