| Hedin Tex asynchronous short haul modem M-1/R-1
guarantees an error free data transmission up to a
distance of 21 kilometres by using the RS232 /V.24-
interface. It is a secure extension of your own dataline.
M-1 is the table top version with its own power
supply.
The modem M-1 allows speeds up to 100,000 bps
with full duplex, half duplex or simplex. The data
transmission is provided by a tristate balanced
current loop. This technique of the M-1 makes it
possible to transfer an additional status signal in
both directions of the line so the final equipment
can be controlled. The interface 1 is designed
according to the standard specifications EIA RS232-
C and CCITT V.24/V.28.
R-1 is the corresponding plug-in card for the 19"
rack RV-1 with european standard size. It is fully
compatible to M-1. Where usually several short haul
modems are needed, R-1 is used to save space and
to obtain the general view. The signal status is shown
by four LEDís (POWER, RD, TD and DCD) on the front
panel. The short haul modems M-1 and R-1 are code
transparent which means they are completely independent
from data structure and transmission
protocols.
M-1/R-1 offers high protection from lighting and
excess voltage. Not only the short haul modem is
protected but also the expensive computer and
connected final equipment.
M-1/R-1 fulfil the highest standard of operational
reliability, function and performance. The modems
are easy to install and to use.
Hedin Tex products M-1 and R-1 are availabe for
prompt delivery. Your local dealer will be glad to
give you more information and to answer your
questions.
