ACM/Flex-16 The
ACM/Flex-16 is an option for the NT960/PCI serial I/O subsystem. The ACM/Flex-16
brings the Connect Tech "Flex" technology to the NT960/PCI. The Connect
Tech flex technology features RS-232, RS-485 and Current Loop line interfaces. |
Features
- Cirrus Logic RISC CD1400 communications controller, with 12 bytes of FIFO
per port that offer high speed data communications up to 115.2 Kbps per port.
- Up to one hundred and twenty eight ports per NT960/PCI host
adapter using ACM16's or ACM/Flex-16's.
- The ACMFlex-16 offers a highly modular and lightweight design that allows
you to integrate them easily into your application. They are fully compatible with the
standard RS-232 ACM-16.
- Serial Line Interface Modules
(SLIM's) that provide different electrical interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485/422
and 20mA current loop on the same ACM/Flex-16 module. As hardware requirements change
within the application, you may field upgrade the ACM/Flex-16 with the SLIM that meets
your needs. Serial Line Interface Modules offer more flexibility than what other
multi-port serial products provide.
- The ACM/Flex-16 provides full support for 1/2 duplex ( 2 wire) and full
duplex ( 4 wire) RS-485 communications.
Ease of Use
- The ACM/Flex-16 provides easy to read LEDs to indicate the type of SLIM
installed on a port.
- The ACM/Flex-16 are the ACM-16 are fully compatible with each other.
ACM-16's and ACM/Flex-16's can be mixed and matched to meet your exact requirements.
