16-Bit PCMCIA PnP 10Base-FL Adapter

OVERVIEW AEC2200 is a credit card size Fiber Optics Ethernet PC Card for PCMCIA Compliant (Type II) notebook computers. It conforms to IEEE 802.3 10Base-FL, PCMCIA Release 2.x, and JEIDA 4.x standards. 32 KB buffer memory can provide capacity for high data transfer throughput. The software configurable design makes the installation simple and easy. AEC2200 also supports the PCMCIA Card Information Structure (CIS), including Socket and Card Services via a direct enabler program. A diagnostic program to verify both card and cable connection is available. By using Surface Mount Technology (SMT), AEC2200 has very low power consumption with reliable performance. AEC2200 is equipped with ST Tx/Rx connectors. It allows notebook PCs to link directly to the 10Mbps Fiber Optics network with multi-mode fiber optics cable and the maximum node-to-node distance can be up to 2 km. Diagnostic LEDs are easily visible for maintenance purpose.
