Xtreme/104 Serial Adapters
The Xtreme/104 are compact, standard four and eight port serial adapters for PC/104 compatible systems.

Features:

Eight or Four high performance jumper selectable
RS232 or RS485/422 serial ports.

Ports are controlled by a high performance Quad UART which is
backward compatible with standard 16450 and 16550 UART's.

Supports two RS485 modes: Full Duplex and Half Duplex

Each RS485 transmitter and receiver has a jumper selectable
120ohm termination resistor.

Data transfer speeds range from 50 bps to 460.8 kbps (230.4
kbps on RS-232).

IRQ lines are jumper selectable; IRQ’s 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
9/2, 10, 11,12, 14, 15 are available

Choice of using one or two interrupts.

An Interrupt status port is available for Operating Systems
with Interrupt status port support.

PC104 compliant.

Multiple boards may reside in a computer to accommodate large systems.

Supported by the most popular multi-user operating systems
such as: QNX 2, QNX 4, Windows 95/98/Me/CE/CE.NET, Windows NT/2000,Windows XP, DOS, Linux,

Benefits
High Speed Communications
The Xtreme/104 board provides rapid data transfer rates up to 460.8k baud
on all ports. Each port can be configured independently. The Exar 16C654 UART
features 64 byte receive and transmit FIFO buffers. FIFO buffers improve performance and
efficiency, and minimise data loss.
Hardware Flexibility
Xtreme/104 offers hardware flexibility and adaptability for your
application. You can configure each port's electrical interface, baud rate,
parity, data and stop bits independently and various connector options are
offered to suit your needs. Xtreme/104 supports two RS-485 modes: Full Duplex;
and Half Duplex with auto TxD echo cancellation.
Software Compatibility
Because of its compatibility with standard PC serial ports, the
Xtreme/104 board supports all the most popular operating systems and communication software.
