The FibreArray HI 12 is Raidtec's Fibre Channel Host Independent RAID subsystem, ideal for server attached storage (SAS) and storage area network (SAN) applications including, video workgroups, multi-host clusters, and scalable multi-platform storage networks. The FibreRAID HI controller at the heart of the subsystem can be attached directly to a server. When additional servers require access to the FibreArray it simply means adding a Fibre Channel hub or switch, this seamlessly enables growth in to a SAN. End to end Fibre Channel connectivity maximizes reliability and scalability all the way to the drives. Powerful FC-Access SAN management software allows dedicated or shared access on a per RAIDset basis. FC-RAIDman provides simple easy to use administration, management and monitoring of RAID and FC-Access features. The FibreArray HI 12 supports up to twelve full height or low profile 3.5" FC-AL drives in tower or compact 4U high 19" rack mount enclosures. Up to 10 FibreArray s can be cascaded to easily scale from 3 to 120 drives.
