Storage Virtualization is one of the many benefits created by the merger of network and storage technology into Storage Area Networks (SANs). FC Access allows each volume to be allocated and dedicated or shared securely on a per worldwide name basis. • Volume Management – FC Access Firmware allows Multiple Virtual Volume support for up to 16 RAID volumes per array. Each volume can be mapped or masked on a per node (World Wide Name) basis. Volumes can be shared or isolated transparently to each server on the SAN.

• Compatibility – Fully compatible and interoperable with third party file sharing software including SANergy and Fibreshare. FC Access is Compatible with an array of clustering software including: Microsoft, Veritas Legato, IBM, HP, SUN as well as others. FC Access is also fully compatible with a broad variety of LAN Free and Serverless back-up software products as well as Highground and most other Storage Resource Management software.
