The DFlex-2/-4/-8 are standard multi-port serial adapters for the ISA Bus Architecture. They provide a
highly flexible solution for software requiring multi-channel serial I/O, 16450 style
register addresses and standard COM: interrupts. With different SLIM
modules the user is able to configure a DFlex board to suit the various I/O requirements
of their application.

Features:

DFlex boards can be ordered with 16450, 16550, 16650 or
16750 UART's to control each port.

Ideal for use with POS Equipment, Industrial Control
Devices, modems,
terminals, serial printers and much more.

Eight pre-defined port address sets are DIP switch
selectable, contact
the Connect Tech sales department for custom address sets.

Ports 1 and 2 can be configured as COM1 and COM2,
respectively.

To improve performance, DFlex boards offer an interrupt
status register.

Each port can be configured independently from 50 to 115k
baud, up to 460k baud for the Dflex/FAST.

IRQ lines are jumper selectable. A choice of 8 IRQ lines is
available,
each board can set be to run 1, 2, or no interrupts.

A choice of a DB9 or DB25 cable harness or a DB9 external
connector box. ( custom connector solutions offered as well. ).

SeePORT: SeePORT is a serial communications monitoring and
data capturing
program compatible with Connect Tech products that have SeePORT support.
Currently SeePORT
support is provided for Windows 95/98.

Hardware Flexibility
The Connect Tech Inc Dflex is the most flexible and versatile multi-port
serial communications controller in the business. DFlex boards use
SLIM technology to provide different
electrical interfaces such as RS-232, RS-422/485, RS-423 and 20 mA Current Loop on the
same board. As hardware requirements change within the application, the user may field
upgrade the board with the appropriate interface module. Multiple DFlex boards may reside in a
computer to accommodate large multi-user or multi-channel I/O requirements. Port
addresses and interrupt lines are DIP switch and jumper selectable.
Diagnostic Tools
Dflex adapters include the software data line analyser for Windows 95/98,
SeePORT. SeePORT helps you to diagnose communication problems and therefore minimise downtime.

assembly, drivers and utilities, SeePORT enhanced Windows 95/98 driver and a
comprehensive manual.
