Benefits
High Speed, High Performance Communications
Rapid data transfer rates up to 1382.4 Kbps on all ports make Blue Heat/PCI boards ideal
connections to high speed modems or ISDN terminal adapters. State of the art
quad UART's with 64 bytes of transmit and receive FIFO buffers offload interrupt handling
and buffering from the main CPU, thus improving overall system performance. The PCI bus
interface offers high bus bandwidth for your data communications.
Hardware Flexibility
Blue Heat/PCI offers hardware flexibility and adaptability for your application. You can
configure each port's baud rate, parity, data and stop bits independently. All ports offer
full modem control and Blue Heat/PCI adapters offer various connector options to suit your
needs.
Hardware Reliability
The Blue Heat/PCI adapters provide Transient Voltage Suppression (Surge Suppression) on
all signals, all ports. Protection against electrical disturbances, spikes and surges
means less failures, less downtime. Surges and Spikes are safely shunted away
from circuits to frame ground, not circuit ground, using state of the art surge
suppression devices.
Software Compatibility
Blue Heat/PCI boards currently have support for these operating systems.
- BSDi 4.0

Quality
Connect Tech strives to manufacture quality products, quality improves reliability and
reliability is key to functioning in today's demanding environments.
All Connect Tech PCI bus serial cards are built using 4 and 6 layer
Printed Circuit Boards ( PCB's ) with power and ground planes. The use of
power and ground planes on PCB's helps to lower Radiated Emissions from
the circuitry and give better signal integrity which allows for better
performance. The Blue Heat/PCI products meet or exceed all PCI
specifications. We ensure that the ALL PCI gold fingers providing
power are adequately decoupled to the power and ground planes using
decoupling capacitors. Proper decoupling ensures that PCI bus signal
integrity is maintained and that current fluctuations on the Blue Heat/PCI
don't adversely affect other cards on the PCI bus, and vice versa. We also
ensure that the JTAG boundary scan fingers on the PCI bus are connected,
this ensures that JTAG boundary scan systems will work when needed. We
also ensure that ALL PCI bus signals do not exceed the
specified length, or meet exact length requirements where mandated.
Connect Tech manufactures all products to strict
ISO9001 standards and ensures that the products are assembled and
tested in an Electrostatic safe environment. Furthermore we package all
circuit boards in a sealed Electrostatic safe bag, to ensure no
Electrostatic damage will occur during shipping and handling. Connect Tech
fully tests each product before shipping to ensure that the product
performs to specification.
Some other competing products don't meet all the above
strict requirements, this allows them to cut costs by cutting corners,
cutting corners means you may have an unreliable product that may not
perform as expected, or may adversely effect other components in your
computer system. Connect Tech's commitment to quality ensures that your
products will be reliable and perform trouble free for many, many
years.
Diagnostic Tools
Blue Heat/PCI adapters include the software data line analyser for Windows95, SeePORT. SeePORT helps you to diagnose
communication problems and therefore minimize downtime. Future SeePORT support will include Windows NT and QNX4.2X.
Warranty and Service
Connect Tech has provided high performance communication solutions since 1985 by building
and testing products to meet high standards of quality and reliability.
Blue Heat/PCI adapters are covered with a lifetime warranty.
